Boult struck early as Sri Lanka slipped to 100 for 6.

Boult picked up career-best 6 for 30 as Sri Lanka were shot down for just 104.

Latham and Raval then saw off the first session to take the team to 36 for no loss.

Raval scored 74 and had a 121-run opening stand with Latham.

Williamson and Latham scored 68 for the second wicket to frustrate Sri Lanka.

Latham stayed unbeaten on 74 as New Zealand ended the day with an overall lead of 305.
